Agenda
#5 The Philosopher Queen Mary Midgley (presented by Ellie Robson)
In the Philosopher Queens Seminar Series we learn about and discuss the work of philosophers from the book “Philosopher Queens” (ed. by Rebecca Buxton and Lisa Whiting, Unbound, 2020). The aim of this series is to introduce the audience, especially undergrad students, to the work of female philosophers and to bring attention to the issue of epistemic and structural injustice within the academic philosophy and philosophical ‘canon’. By asking contributors of the “Philosopher Queens” to participate in this event, we also wish to promote contemporary underrepresented philosophers.
